If you are missing all your teeth in one jaw, a newer method to replace all 16 teeth is to place four implants strategically and put the prosthesis on them.
This procedure is now being done worldwide and it helps in reducing the cost of the procedure because under normal circumstance we place six or eight implants to replace missing teeth for a whole jaw. There are some risks involved because obviously more load is being transmitted to the for implants and in some cases we cannot place the implants in the ideal position that we want to and the load distribution factor is not ideal.
However, the All on Four methods is a viable way to replace all 16 teeth of one jaw. Again all the pros and cons of the procedure should be discussed with our team at the Implant Center where you will be explained in detail about the procedure.
